It's what our customers expect. Bio: George Sherman is an Executive Director and the Head of Global Institutional IT Security and Risk Management. George is responsible for the strategic direction of technical initiatives that help the Firm understand, control, and manage technology risk. George has been working at Morgan Stanley for 6 years and prior to his current role, he was the Chief Technology Architect focused on strategic direction for technical initiatives that are firm wide or inter-business unit in nature, as well as in charge of the Enterprise Applications Group responsible for the Intranet, Mail Plant, Digital Multimedia Technology, Fax/Telex and Collaborative Technologies. Before coming to Morgan Stanley, George was the Head of Technical Architecture for Chase Manhattan Bank/Global Banking Division. Over the years at Chase, he managed several Technology Engineering, Application Development and Operations organizations. Prior to his role at Chase he was an independent consultant. He is a graduate of New Jersey Institute of Technology and holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering.
